A STRATEGIC SUMMARY
WHAT
ASPIRE was designed in furtherance of NCNMO Vision 2025 initiative for Youth Empowerment.
ASPIRE aims to connect spirituality to personal and professional development.
ASPIRE will develop participants into spiritually intelligent leaders that will impact the world.
ASPIRE will be a tuition-free, instructor-led, live and/or virtual cohort-based classes starting with intake at the annual Platform and concluding at the following year’s Platform with a graduation and award of diplomas in leadership studies.
WHO
ASPIRE is for you if you are a college graduate (or still attending college but will be able to combine the school workload with the program requirements) and will be under 40 years at the start of the program.
ASPIRE is for you if you desire to be equipped with tools needed to succeed in a highly competitive world while maintaining your faith commitment and identity.
ASPIRE is for you if you are interested in and highly committed to self-development and career advancement.
APPROACH
ASPIRE will help you understand your personality better and join you with
like-minded individuals who you will get to learn from and share ideas with
as you go through cohort-based learning sessions comprising a mix of live
lectures with subject matter experts, active participation in discussions,
book assignment and reports, applied learning exercises, breakout groups, mentorship match, volunteerism and more.
You will learn leadership competencies necessary to serve successfully as leaders and engage in the following activities listed below.
BOOK ASSIGNMENTS
Leadership books to be assigned to the participants with everyone expected to prepare a book summary report during the program.
MENTORSHIP
Participants will be paired with mentors that will serve as guides and supporters through the program and beyond.
LEADERSHIP LECTURE SERIES
Series of LIVE, group online classes once every two weeks include the following subjects:
- Personality Assessment, Strategy & Critical
- Thinking, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Communication & Presentation Skills
- Financial Literacy, Entrepreneurship/Business
- Politics & Governance, Science/Technology, Philanthropy/Charity,
- Islamic Culture & History
VOLUNTEERISM
Participants will identify NGOs within their community that they can work with to make an impact and address needs in the community.
PROJECTS
Participants will jointly partake in an assigned project that will be presented at the graduation/exit program.
