WHO WE ARE

Founded in Washington D.C. in 1976, the National Council of Nigerian Muslim Organizations (NCNMO) has grown from three founding chapters to a nationwide organization serving thousands of Muslims across America.
The National Council of Nigeria Muslim Organization was inaugurated in Washington D.C. in 1976, with three foundation chapters from New Jersey, Washington D.C., and New York.
For nearly five decades, NCNMO has been a pillar of the Nigerian Muslim community in America — organizing annual conferences, running charitable programs, and building bridges of understanding across the country.

Rooted in the Sunnah of nurturing the marital bond, ICARE brings couples together in a serene setting for immersive Islamic teachings and guided reflection.

The Young Adult Summer Retreat (YASR) aims to increase our knowledge about Islam while networking with our peers, exploring unique elements of our Islamic faith, and building a positive American Muslim identity.

Dec. 24-Dec. 28: Indianapolis, Indiana
NCNMO's flagship annual conference is held every winter, a four-day where Nigerian Muslim communities across America come together to strengthen their faith, build lasting connections, and grow as an ummah. Open to all Muslims and aspiring Muslims.
